Weekly Update from Haiti 6.10.21 / New Earth Christian Ministries

This week's news was once again dominated by violence. Since the beginning of the week there have been clashes between several groups in the Port-au-Prince area which paralyzed all activities and led to a blockade. People fled their homes in mass with children in their arms. That did not prevent many of them from escaping death. Bandits entered their homes, set fire and looted all their belongings. This lasted for more than 4 days while the alleged authorities in the country did not lift a finger to intervene.

In the midst of this terrible situation, God is still working among the people as they do not lose their faith in Jesus Christ to rescue them. They are in prayer constantly and continue to hold onto hope, knowing that their family in Christ holds them close in prayer and are coming to their aid. 1 John 3:16-18 reminds us that whenever our siblings in Christ suffer, our love for God is shown in our response. New Earth Christian Ministries and its partners were able to send rice, gallons of oil and bags of beans including salmon to feed the churches we sponsor there.
